Changu Lake:
At 12,000 feet, the lake is also known as “Tsongmo Lake”. The lake is 40 km from Gangtok and is home to safaris of “yak” animals and “cheese” made from its milk. There is also a Shiva temple by the lake. The lake is surrounded by mountains on all sides so it feels like looking at a picture. On the day of Jupiter full moon, the healers known as Zacharias use the medicinal water of the lake. The specialty of Changu Lake is that it is oval or oval in shape. Which makes it stand out from the rest of the lakes.
