Sonamarg
Sonamarg means “golden meadow”. The snow capped mountains and the azure sky make Sonamarg heart touching and make you feel like you are in a different world. The joy of walking and playing on the white carpet spread everywhere is indescribable! One can travel here with mules or small horses. There is an opportunity to fish on the river Sindh. Various mountain ranges are the special identity of Sonamarg. Sonmarg is 3 hours drive from Srinagar airport. During winters, access to Sonamarg is often inaccessible due to snowfall.

Zoji La (pass)
Zoji La Pass is the highest Himalayan pass connecting Srinagar and Leh. This road is at an altitude of 11500 feet. The only example of tanks being used in battle at the highest altitude in the world is the Zoji La (pass).

Mulbek Monastery
This Mulbekh monastery is famous for its 9 meter tall statue of Maitreya Buddha. It is estimated that this monastery and statue may have been built in the first or eighth century.

Confluence point of Indus River and Zanskar River
On the way to Srinagar, one can see the confluence point of Indus River and Zanskar River from National Highway 1.
